CVU Family

We want you to know the Club is monitoring the situation with COVID-19. Because our players are involved in a game with a lot of physical contact with a number of teammates and opponents, we want to be especially careful that we are not sending sick players on the field.

At this time, we intend to continue with practices, scrimmages, and games as normal.  We do not anticipate any changes to spring league, tournaments, and State Cup. We will, of course, notify you as soon as we find out otherwise. In the meantime, we are asking that players adhere to the following guidelines until further notice:

  • Do not attend practice, games, or other team events if you have a fever, cough, or shortness of breath.

  • Instead of shaking hands or giving high fives, use fist or elbow bumps.

  • Wash hands before going to an event and immediately after.

  • Do not cough or sneeze into your hands. Use Kleenex or your elbow, and immediately use sanitizer.

Out of courtesy to others, we ask that all players showing symptoms of fever, cough, shortness of breath refrain from attending all Club/team events until cleared by a medical professional. Coaches and Club officials observing players with any of these symptoms will direct them to leave the event and go home.

Spring Break is approaching and a number of area schools are implementing strict return-to-school rules for those who travel internationally. We are following suit, and ask players from families traveling to the following countries to not return to Club/team events for at least 14 days after returning to the US:

  • China

  • Iran

  • South Korea

  • Italy

  • Japan

  • Hong Kong

Whether you are traveling abroad or in the US, we encourage you to stay clear of those who are sick and wash your hands frequently.

If you are traveling abroad we encourage you to check with the CDC’s list of designated countries at https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/travelers/index.html.

There are many rumors concerning COVID-19 so we encourage you to check with the CDC to learn the most up to date information.
